The case is very robust and tight.. it holds my GoPro Hero 5 in one place with no rattles at all, the mic adaptor slot could do to be a little more refined (maybe a little door to eliminate the chance of it falling out) but other than that its a notch away from perfect. There's a cold shoe above the lens to enable you to use a different mic or even a continuous lamp. The mic is a genuine Saramonic SR-XM1 and is very impressive also, it does seem a little flimsy out of the box but after you get over the initial fear of breaking it you will find that its a very strong piece of kit both inside and out! the sound quality is great but you may want to buy a set of wind muffs just to help with that extra sound protection. As for the tripod.... again a fab piece of kit, a little small for my big hands but that's my problem. Build quality is good but i'm not sure it would react to being dropped very well (ill probably find out soon enough)Overall like i say n the headline this is a great entry level vlog kit that can be upgraded as and when you feel the need. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars For YouTube perfection *by I***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 January 2020* Works well but mic is very delicate. Pulls apart and pokes out quite easy from the housing. I'm still not using this as much as I expected I would. Might be better for someone who loves vlogging ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars not for me it was a present for somebody *by D***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 June 2020* doesn't work out the box you need other connections this doesn't come with. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/129379993-vlog-setup-for-gopro-hero-7-6-5-v2-housing](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/129379993-vlog-setup-for-gopro-hero-7-6-5-v2-housing) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
