## Features

- NEW & IMPROVED HAY CHIX QUALITY: We've updated our production process and materials to address previous dye-transfer concerns while maintaining the same handmade fixed-knot construction and marine-grade UV-treated nylon net that horse owners trust. This latest generation Hay Chix slow feed hay net delivers the durability, performance, and reliability you expect for everyday feeding.
- HAY CHIX ORIGINAL ROUND BALE SLOW FEED HAY NET: This Premium 6-foot hay bag for horses is crafted with durable, UV-treated marine-grade nylon with 1 3/4" holes for long-lasting use in the field. Built for horses, mules, donkeys and ponies, this reliable round bale hay net works in the pasture, paddock, or with feeders like the Hay Hut, Bale Barn, and other round bale feeders, giving horse owners one dependable large-bale feeding solution for everyday use.
- WHY HORSE OWNERS CHOOSE HAY CHIX: You put too much time and money into your hay and your herd to choose a basic round bale hay net on price alone. This horse hay net helps reduce unnecessary hay loss so you can get up to 94% of your hay out of every bale, helping it quickly pay for itself through saved hay. With proper care and level of use, HayChix hay nets can last a long time.
- EASY-FILL WITH PATENTED CLOSURE: Featuring the patented Hay Chix Rope & Hoggle closure system, this net is easy to use and fits securely over a round bale. It simplifies feeding routines and saves time. Fitting a full 6' round bale hay net over a large bale can take some handling depending on bale size and feeding setup. Once positioned, the patented closure makes tightening and securing the net simple without complicated knots.
- MINIMIZES HAY WASTE & ENHANCES DIGESTION: This 1 3/4" slow feed hay net for horses reduces hay waste while promoting healthier digestion by mimicking your horse's natural grazing habits. These hay bags for horses help with gastric ulcers, boredom, and other unwanted equine behaviors.
- VERSATILE SIZE COMPATIBILITY: The Hay Chix round bale hay net fits round bales up to 6' x 6', including common 4' x 5' and 5' x 5' sizes, plus large square bales measuring 4' x 4' x 8' and 3' x 3' x 9'. This gives horse owners more flexibility when bale sizes or hay suppliers change, without needing a different net for every bale.
- 1 3/4" HOLE SIZE FOR SLOW FEEDING: The Original 1 3/4" opening is Hay Chix's most popular mesh size and a great option for horses that eat too fast, waste hay, or are new to slow feed hay nets. It provides comfortable access to forage without moving straight to a smaller opening.
- LESS MESS AROUND THE BALE: Hay Chix helps keep hay contained around the feeding area instead of scattered, stepped on, or worked into the ground. Less loose hay means less cleanup for you and more of the bale available for your horses to eat.
- WE CARE ABOUT YOUR HERD: Proudly handcrafted in Texas, Hay Chix hay nets for horses represent the best in quality and care for your herd, offering a superior slow feed solution. We prioritize the health and happiness of your animals, offering products designed to support your herd's unique needs.
- SAFE USE FOR SHOD HORSES: For shod horses or animals with split hooves, use this large bale net with a hay ring that sits flush with the ground or position it high enough that the animal cannot paw at the net. Hay Chix does not recommend use with horned animals or non-breakaway halters. If used with blankets, buckles should be covered or separated from the net by a barrier.
