You're going to have to wash them (duh) to get rid of the plastic smell (saw a complaint about it before I bought), but most of them seem to hold up very well. There's not many shadow brushes (or the ones they consider shadow brushes are just WAY too hard to be used) but I bought this for the eyeliner brushes anyways.
