The pen itself is designed to hold the notebook closed, and these pens matched the original perfectly! Nice also, to have a red led light option! The pen itself doesn't hold both colors at once, and you can't change the light on the pen, you have to buy the pen, specify which color led you would like it to have, red or white. Both are bright enough to see what you're writing without any other lighting.
