## Description

Roosebeck 22-String Lacewood Harp Chelby Levers NaturalFeaturing the smooth, sleek look of the Chelby levers is reflected in their functionality. Compared to the standard Roosebeck harp levers, the Chelby levers are mechanically superior. The design allows the lever to engage the string from the side and limit the possibility of strings lifting off the bridge pin. Professional harpists appreciate the red and blue colored caps, which make it easy to locate the C- and F-string levers. The lever is attached to its base by a hex bolt. A synthetic washer is spaced between the lever and base, creating a smooth and controlled, lifting action that resists slipping once engaged. The base of each lever is mounted to the harp arm by two screws, should any adjustment be necessary. The bridge pins for the Chelby levers have also been improved; they can be adjusted, in or out, by simple turning with a hex wrench.22 DuPont hard nylon strings that range from C3 to C6, and it has 22 sharpening levers. It is approximately 36" high. It has a lacewood frame. It includes a tuning tool and one extra string set. The color of the wood may be a little different than the photo.

Review: Great Value at this Price Point - First, I must say that the harp I received does not look exactly like the picture. Mine has a strip of wood running down the middle of the sound board, which, I believe, is the newer design. The build seems quite sturdy, and I happen to like the simple, natural wood look. This isn't the first harp I've owned, but for the last couple of years, I've been playing on a 3-octave, nylon string lyre harp without sharping levers (and wishing for such levers). I decided to take a chance on the Roosebeck, because I could afford it, which is not something I can say about most harps!!$$$ I was very pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the sharping levers. Also, the instrument stays in tune quite well—especially for a new harp! I did not expect that. When played gently, it has a rather pleasant tone—especially in the lower register. Even when playing with a heavier touch, I have not noticed any buzzing or other unpleasant sound. The top few strings are a bit thin-sounding, but not terribly so. Overall, I'm quite impressed—especially considering the affordability of the instrument. It is definitely a musical instrument and not a toy or a display item. The sound quality may not be that of a $5,000 harp, but it is quite decent and enjoyable. The price point, the stability of tuning, and the accuracy of the sharping levers make this a good choice for anyone who wants to play, but simply cannot afford the average American-made harp.
Review: A satisfactory quality harp for the price - This is my second harp like this, gentle sound, strings that don't break often, easy to carry, I love it!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A satisfactory quality harp for the price

This is my second harp like this, gentle sound, strings that don't break often, easy to carry, I love it!

### ⭐ Disappointed. Bad quality
*by A***M on March 2, 2021*

I received this heather harp in the mail today am not very impressed by the quality. It kind of seems like a scratch and dent item. I’d like an exchange or get some kind of a refund. This is definitely not worth $500 after taxes. String sounds wonky even when perfectly in tune. Cracks and soundbox has gunk inside.
