It has been on our floors now for about two months and if we spill water it beads up and doesn't turn white if we miss a spot drying it. I have drug chairs and other furniture across it and it has NOT scratched at all not even a little bit!! We debated on either the oil based or this water based two part and we are SO happy with this water based. I would NEVER consider using anything else!!! We put on a coat waited an hour tested it and put on another coat and only waited a half hour to put on the third coat. It was drying so fast. Maybe because it was so cold when we did it. It was so easy. Much easier then anticipated ! We waited two full weeks before we put our furniture back just to make sure it was ready. We used two gallons for a large kitchen- dining room hallway area. Pretty much what the can read on square footage Review: Fantastic product for an unique and unusual problem - I run the building maintenance department for one of the largest natural history museum/aquariums in the world. We use Bona HD as a protective coating on all of our painted handrails in the building. We get over 1.5 million visitors a year and the wear and tear on our painted railings is amazingly destructive. We have one section of our building that simulates the desertcart Rainforest and the railings are exposed to high temperatures, constant rain and lot's of UV. Before we started using Bona as a top coating my painters would have to repaint the railings in the rainforest every 3 months. After using Bona we only have to repaint every year, a significant savings in time and money. Another advantage to using Bona is that it is water based and low odor - because we have live animals/fish/birds in many parts of our museum we cannot use products with high VOC's or obnoxious odors. My painters can use latex paints to color the railings and then add 5-6 coats of Bona over the paint to act as protection. Does it turn yellow? I will be using a white floor and porch paint.** A: I used it for floor top coat my toddlers spill stuff all the time its great as far as its sealing ability but its extremely slippery when it gets wet. It doesn't yellow at all and its nice because its sheer but you do need many many thin coats of it to make sure it does scratch or chip off. **Q: Can this product be used on laminate flooring?** A: Bona has a customer help line you may call to ask. They're quite helpful & offer good advice. I don't have the number at hand, but it's on their website & their product label. **Q: can bona traffic be purchased in smaller quantities?** A: No. In USA the Bona HD is only sold in gallon containers.
