Realistically, I don't think any mat can do that.There are four very large cats who share two jumbo litterboxes in my home. Two of them are ferals (ages 2 and 6 years) that were recently brought inside and domesticated and they do alot of covering in the box that results in a huge amount of litter outside the box. The other two cats are Maine Coons, and they tend to track alot of litter outside the box with their big and furry feet.Day 1:All the cats were immediately attracted to the mat itself and engaged in much mat scratching...surprisingly, there was absolutely no damage to the mat as a result. They did manage to tip over an entire litterbox with this activity, and provided the first opportunity to experience how much easier the cleanup was with these mats! I only had to remove the tipped litterbox, detach the velco tabs, and then quickly and easily dump the contents over a trash bag. No sweeping or vacuuming required! Good first impression!The mat was easy to reassemble with the velcro tabs, and the seams stayed closely put despite all the cat activity on it.Day 2:As you can see in the first two photos (a before and after), the mat captured much of the litter in the honeycombs that I would have had to sweep after just one cat using the litterbox.The third photo shows just how much litter was captured by the mat honeycombs - a large amount!The fourth photo demonstrates how the ends of the mat can be opened to easily vacuum the captured litter without having to remove the entire mat to empty it! This is very convenient and a thoughtful feature; it saves time and effort not to have to take the mats apart daily (although once a week a deep cleaning is desirable).The fifth photo is just to give potential buyers an idea of how much coverage can be obtained when placing a jumbo litterbox at the corner of the mats. The sixth photo demonstrates how nicely and closely the mats attach to each other.A small criticism is that the standard door floor opening does not easily glide over the corners of the mats (photo seven). It takes a bit of compression to get a door over the outer seams and then the door will glide over the mat. If the mat seams were just a touch thinner this would not have been an issue.Overall, this is a very effective litter mat that definitely reduces cleanup time and effort.There is no litter mat that captures every bit of tracked litter - I have tried countless mats over many decades of cat ownership. I have 4 cats and 4 jumbo litter boxes. Scattered litter has been a huge problem. Enclosed litter boxes help, but 2 of my cats are on the large side and don’t comfortably fit inside enclosed boxes. I tried using very large plastic storage boxes with holes cut in them as litter boxes, and while they work great, they take up a lot of room, and look hideous. So I went back to regular open litter boxes, which aren’t really attractive, but at least they don’t dominant the room. Anyway, litter everywhere is definitely an issue. I’ve had these mats for a couple weeks now, and love them. I would say they’ve cut down on the litter scatter by 90%. I use two mats per box, because my boxes are extra large. They are very durable. The cats like to use them as scratching mats, and there’s absolutely no damage to them. They are water proof. I proved that when one of the cats accidentally missed the box while urinating. I am just thoroughly amazed at how well it attracts the cat litter. I hate litter all over my floor. Since got these mats I have not had any litter on the floor. I am not sure if it helps ecstatic the cats s ok the litter doesnt stick to them or if the mat grabs the litter off of their feet as they step out. Which ever the case I am totally impressed. I also have found that when pick them up to dump stray litter off the mats there is very little. I highly recommend these mats to everyone especially if a multi cat family. I have 4 cats and I live these mats!
