I hated all the ones at Walmart, target, Kmart, the mall etc... I am more of a gender neutral parent so tons of dark colors for a boy don'f fly with me. This back pack is not only is cute but has a lot going for it.Pros:First it fits your standard size folders so right away this pack isn't just for younger kids. It was just the right size and didn't come past my small child's waist.It has really durable straps even after half a school year it still looks new.The little thing you see on the side is a nice D ring hooked to the zipper. It has made the zipper easy for my child and me. The school uses it for my sons mittens I like this a lot as it means the content of the bag hasn't gotten wet or stinky and the mittens haven't gotten lost.The little loop to hold the pack on a hook is like a sage green and sewn it quite well.cons:The bag is a bit thin but has made up for it by being durable.The little monsters are brighter colored in the picture than in reality. They are mustard yellow, sage green and grey and it really does look like my 4 year old colored them in. At fist I was a bit disappointed with the colors not being brighter but actually it has worked in our favor because this book bag still looks clean and new where other kids look like they need replaced.Overall for the same price as a cheap generic bag my son has something more like him unique and fun! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adorable monster backpack *by L***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2013* I bought this for my 2 yr old for his birthday to carry his Disney die cast cars. This does the trick and holds up well to my rowdy 2 yr old. It was larger than I expected and would easily work for a preschooler or kindergartener's backpack. It is large enough to hold notebooks or paperwork and has the nice pocket on the outside as well. The zipper has thus far held up to my two boys opening and closing it and we have had it going on 4 months.
