Most likely, it will not fit through a 22 inch doorway.however, it roll really well on carpet, and it can get through regular bedroom door, regular bathroom door, but it could not go through my shower stall doorway. it is light and sturdy, and can transport patient around very well. **Q: How do I adjust the height of the chair? Instructions say to push buttons, but I cannot get them to push.** A: The chair I purchased is not adjustable. I wish it was. I find it odd that some of us got a chair that is NOT adjustable and obviously you and someone else gotone that IS.
