Why are these so highly rated?
Why are these so highly rated? Maybe I got a bad pair? The regular scissors are perfect. The thinning shears do not close all the way. I tried to tighten them to no avail. They just won’t close, and therefore will not cut the hair. (See included photo of me squeezing the shears closed and the lack of closure on half of the blade) Bummer.

These look very nice and worked really well on my hair
These look very nice and worked really well on my hair. However I used the straight cut pair to open a dye packet a week after getting them and just that made the metal peel up on the blade and now they're unusable. Very cheap. Just be careful with them

Great buy
First, these scissors are a fantastic price. Second, the blades are extremely sharp and the cutting motion is so easy and fluid. I am extremely happy with this purchase I have recently started cutting my boys' hair in order to save money. I realized that I wasn't able to fade the sides as I wanted and was leaving a bit of a shelf. I primarily bought the set for the thinning shears, which work exactly as I had hoped. However, the other shears are also excellent quality.

Defective!☹
Mine were defected. By the time I noticed it when it came time to use them, it was too late to send them back! My fault for not checking them when I got them!☹☹

Great the 1st use, then garbage
Have used these scissors twice to cut both my sons hair.....1st time using them they worked great, after that, they became “dull” and kept loosening up while trimming. I just tried to use them again today and they came completely apart during use....I wouldn’t think you should have to tighten them after every couple clips????

Good for short term use
The texturizing scissors are fabulous. The straight scissors that I recieved weren't sharp. But, I still feel that they are a good deal.I'm not sure how long the scissors will hold up they are basic quality. If you need temporary scissors go with these.

Excellent value and the shears cut well once lubed and adjusted. Description/picture was fine. Box was in good shape but the foam pack inside was torn. The shears come in a plastic sleeve that is just fair for reuse.
