So it is secure and easy to take off and put on, only when you want to. Always stayed in place while going in and out of my bag, etc. As for the dome performance, it acts as expected. A simple diffuser. If you have a Nikon flash and want a dome diffuser, I would spend the extra money and get this genuine Nikon one.
