I put a very little in my hands & rub it into the coat. It is economical, because you need such a little amount. Leaves the coat silky soft & smelling nice. It's supposed to be oily. It's for deep moisturizing... Can be used on Yorkies prior to wrapping or the day before a bath as a mask. Poodle and Afghan ears etc.etc. I use it on my hard coated dog's furnishings to help them grow more (less breakage). A little goes a long way but you layer as much as you need. No oily residue is ever on my couch, my dogs don't appear oily. But I wash it off weekly. It builds up if you spray more. A good thing (some dogs need more). Smells Devine. I use it on my hands and arms (it's all essential oils) as a fantastic moisturizer. Just enough to hydrate (not shine).Don't be buying a bottle of oil if you don't want one -or you don't know how to use it properly. This stuff is amazing. I mean I didn't like how it felt even an hour later.
