The configuration available for the mouse is amazing. You can have it set up to use certain settings in different programs. I have mine to automatically switch to "sims mode" when I start up Sims 4 (which includes speed buttons on the mouse itself). **Q: Can anyone tell me how to use the mouse? I could not find any instructions on how to program it. Please Help!!!!** A: Should have had instruction pamphlet within the box.You can go to www.steelseries.com/engine to program the mouse. **Q: Does this need a mouse pad to work?** A: technically no. but mouse's work better if you use a mouse pad.
