Posi Lock Gear and bearing puller with a 4" reach, 1/2" to 5" Spread, 5 Tons, and three jaws. Posi Lock gear and bearing pullers feature the superior Safety Cage design which provides superior locking power and is safer and more durable than conventional pullers.

Review: This puller is AWESOME. No more trying to mess around keeping three ... - This puller is AWESOME. No more trying to mess around keeping three jaws on the part while finger tightening the jack screw 4 or 5 times in an effort to keep things lined up and centered, only to have the jaws pop off as soon as you put the impact on the jack screw. No more of those stupid link bars used on most pullers between the body and the hook with two bolt holes in them that distort rendering the puller useless. I will admit it took me a few moments to figure out the whole cage thing, but its great. You can totally back out the jack screw, roughly center the puller over the pulley, and as you tighten the T handle the jaws close over the part. If you just snug it with a few ft-lbs of force the puller will sit there perfectly centered on the pulley. Then run the jack screw in and hit the jackscrew with the impact and let 'er rip. I'm with some of the others.. I don't know how one guy managed to break the cage. Im figuring he probably didn't understand the purpose of the cage and also didnt bother to read the directions and cranked down on the cage thinking that was how you remove the part? I've also personally never seen a control arm bushing where a 3 jaw puller was the correct tool for the job. A 12T hydrualic press is usually the smallest appropriate tool, even for compact car bushings..

**Q: Does this come with the case?**
A: Mine did not come with a case.  I bought it in 2012 and things may have changed since then.  Works really good, so no complaints.

**Q: Does this come with a case to store it in?**
A: No it doesn't.   I just keep it in the box it came in.

**Q: Does this unit come with the tip protector?**
A: You're welcome.   Those tips must wear with heavy use, but mine is still in like new condition,  but I've only used twice so far.  Still think these pulleys are best designed three jaw pullers I've ever used , worth the extra money they cost.

**Q: Posi lock 104 good for hvac work**
A: I'm sure to work for whatever situation requires a puller. I love this tool because it will not slip off of whatever you're working on.

This puller is AWESOME.
