When the kids were growing up, we used to have this with cheese and crackers, oranges and apples, and cranberry juice "wine" while watching the New Year's Eve specials on TV until they dropped the ball on Times Square.Hadn't had it for probably 20 years - with the kids grown and gone, we kind of dropped our traditions. When I got it last Christmas I was disappointed - it just didn't taste the same. But I wasn't going to throw it out, and by the third meal, it was tasting more familiar; I think that because my diet had changed so much as I grew older (low fat, all that nonsense), this just tasted weird at first. By the time I got to the end, I was quite enjoying it again. I intend to make a habit of enjoying it from now on, during the winter holidays and again for light summer meals. One thing is sure, there's nothing else on the market that can compare!

I make my own "lunchable" with this product. I slice 6 pieces of the summer sausage and 6 like sizes of a good cheese and I have a yummy lunch with limited sugars and crap. This is pretty "clean" considering it is a processed meat. I really like it.

I have been eating this summer sausage for years. I can't find them in nearby stores, and other brands aren't as good, in my opinion. Amazon is the easiest way for me to purchase this. I just try not to dwell on the cost per pound!

Formula seems to have changed and not for the best. The price is nuts

If you are going to order a summer sausage, it has to be Hickory Farms, they have the best flavor.
