The concept is fabulous. The echo input being upright is more responsive to my voice commands and it just looks sleeker than the previous alternatives. **THE problem everyone is going to have, and immediately notice, is that the bottom of the stand has no grip. It is the opposite in fact, slippery. I’ve read that before, but that alone is NOT the problem. The problem is that the charging cord that runs through the back of the stand is sturdy and stiff (as an electrical cord should be) and this causes the stand to rotate 30 degrees because the bottom is slippery. It’s funny, I pit it out and it turned. Tried everything to keep it from turning, because what’s the point if the stand turns away from you!? I used some double sided sticky tape (eek to my furniture) to hold it down. I’ve noticed a lot of the affordable products lately have issues with grip. Despite the novelty, the price is seriously to high for this quality. I recommend $3.00 plus tax max. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Expensive for what you get, but it does what it says. *by P***L on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2021* If you have an Amazon Echo Input, you know that it just kinda sits on the table or counter where you use it. It gets knocked around, moved, etc. I was looking for a wall mount, when I came across this stand and decided to try it.What you get is a small plastic, rigid stand (there is no movement or adjustments). It probably costs less than .25 cents to make and in my opinion should sell for about $5. The current $10 price seems high for what you get, but it appears that this company has cornered the market as I couldn't find another stand like it. So, I bought it anyway. It does work well! It holds the Echo Input upright as described and keeps the cables tidy. It also looks much better than just sitting, flat on the table. I just wish it was more appropriately priced. ### ⭐⭐ Not sturdy and input not secure in stand *by E***M on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2019* {"videoWidth":0,"videoUrl":"https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91Rsb6wAbnS.mp4","clientPrefix":"vse_reviews_desktop_r1ad8izaqpgqey_1638368786552","awaConfig":{"useUpNextComponent":false,"initialVideo":"R1AD8IZAQPGQEY","shouldPreload":true,"isChromelessPlayer":false,"closedCaptionsConfig":{"captionsOnTexts":{"en":"English (Automated)"},"captionsOffText":"Captions off"},"isVideoImmersivePlayer":false,"skipInitialFocus":false,"disabledViewIds":["replayHint"],"customerId":"0","containerId":"vse_reviews_desktop_r1ad8izaqpgqey_1638368786552-player-02b30608-ad18-49c0-898c-fc993a9514cb","requestMetadata":{"marketplaceId":"ATVPDKIKX0DER","clientId":"VSE-US","method":"cr_inline_review","requestId":"3MHBQ10ETT941RJ1288F","pageAsin":"","sessionId":"144-5318377-0131652"},"shouldLoop":false,"shouldDisableControls":false,"clientPrefix":"","useAutoplayFallback":false,"sushiMetricsConfig":{"isRobot":false,"clientId":"VSE-US","videoAsinList":"","weblabIds":"","eventSource":"Player","sessionId":"144-5318377-0131652","refMarkers":"vse_reviews_desktop_R1AD8IZAQPGQEY_1638368786552_ref","placementContext":"cr_inline_review","marketplaceId":"ATVPDKIKX0DER","isInternal":false,"endpoint":"https://unagi-na.amazon.com/1/events/com.amazon.eel.vse.metrics.prod.events.test","requestId":"3MHBQ10ETT941RJ1288F","customerId":"0","sessionType":1},"ospLinkCode":"","languageCode":"en","version":"","shouldStartMuted":false,"airyVersion":"VideoJS","languagePreferenceStrings":{},"enableInactiveFocus":true,"isReactFactory":false,"enableDelphiAttribution":false,"shouldAutoplay":false},"imageUrl":"https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91Nvu-qxFZS._SY256.png","closedCaptionsConfig":{"captionsOnTexts":{"en":"English (Automated)"},"captionsOffText":"Captions off"},"sushiMetricsConfig":{"isRobot":false,"clientId":"","videoAsinList":"","weblabIds":"","eventSource":"Player","sessionId":"144-5318377-0131652","refMarkers":"vse_reviews_desktop_R1AD8IZAQPGQEY_1638368786552_ref","placementContext":"cr_inline_review","marketplaceId":"ATVPDKIKX0DER","isInternal":false,"endpoint":"https://unagi-na.amazon.com/1/events/com.amazon.eel.vse.metrics.prod.events.test","requestId":"3MHBQ10ETT941RJ1288F","customerId":"0","sessionType":1},"mimeType":"video/mp4","isMobile":false,"videoHeight":0}  Just arrived. Nothing to put together, just put input in and go.Low profile. But NOT sturdy. And inout NOT secure. If you have kids or pets, or possibly even near a breeze, it probably will fall. Fall down. And fall out. The input is not secure in any way.May not be worth hassle of returning. And need something, and will have it out of way. But can’t recommend it uncortunately. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/136654982-dot-genie-echo-input-mount-stand-pedestal-for-home-theater](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/136654982-dot-genie-echo-input-mount-stand-pedestal-for-home-theater) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
