It also makes for a very light weight box. The total weight for the substitution boxes shown on the left was less than 3.5oz each. If they would have one a little larger with the dimensions of a 1590B box (like the larger aluminum boxes on the right) I would buy more. I don't always need aluminum shielding for every project. I've used this for making ununs, baluns, filters (though I added copper foil inside as shielding), LC tuner, Z tuner, and other random things. The cover snaps on and it's does have stand offs for screwing an IC into the base.
