**Q: Can you use it as step ladder getting on a  42ft sailboat feom side**
A: Yes, and getting into a dinghy alongside the boat.  A friend had one and it made getting off of the boat on a T dock.

**Q: Looking for extension for boat ladder during high water. Will this clip to bottom of regular swim ladder?**
A: Possible, the snap clips are at the ends of a foot of line on each side of step, you might be able to wrap each line around the ladder rail and attach the clips to the line.  You can add more line if required.

**Q: Where is this made/manufactured?**
A: Made in the USA

**Q: how much weight does it hold?**
A: it says it will hold up to 300 lbs and we've had some big folks use the step with no problem

Needed a portable boarding step for a large 40' sailboat with high freeboard, and this fits the bill perfectly. Light but strong, easy to stow, works great. Highly recommended.

It’s intended use- I found that they didn’t send enough rope to be useful, so I had to go buy more. Also, the step itself is about as small as it could be- not wide enough for both feet. I would have been better off to simply build something myself.

You better have super tiny feet to use this step. It serves a purpose under seldom used circumstances, but not a good long term solution. It’s much too small for frequent use. Stores easily due to it’s mini size.
