Obviously, it's not a subject with which I have any experience. (My investment portfolio is primarily comprised of dividend-paying stocks.) For me, this book was pretty much perfect. The author presents a relatively conservative and no-hype approach to real estate investing in a matter-of-fact style - with no hard sells. I found the breadth of his coverage of the subject to be appropriate. I found his approach to be simple, but no easy. And that's fine. Because I now feel that I understand what it would take to be a successful real estate investor. Review: Very actionable - It is very practical and an easy read. It is surprisingly entertaining too. I worried it would be boring, but I enjoy reading it. It is more focused on gaining wealth based on the appreciation of the properties, whereas some people focus more on the monthly income of charging rent to tenants. But he does address that. While I found it useful as a beginner I felt some parts were glossed over and not fleshed out enough. All in all one of the best books for beginners, but missed the mark in some spots.
