I bought my wife a digital kit last year, but it lacked the "feel" of a real drum set. You have to purchase the cymbals, kick pedal and stands separately. I'll review those later, but they must be included when I review these other 5 pieces. First, the reviews were really good for this introductory kit. I watched many YouTube videos and read many Amazon reviews before settling on this. The quality is very, very good for the price, and the assembly is simple and easy to follow. Once you add the real cymbals, the game changes from a dull "thud" that you get when you strike a digital hi-hat an crash, to a real satisfying stainless steel ringing sound. Price was phenomenal for this level of quality.
