The perfect pizza stone for the perfect pizza. These are not designer stones that look pretty and crack during the first use. Our Pizza Stones are rough and rugged. They are made of a high grade Non-Toxic Mullite mixture, containing a very high quantity of grog. This makes our Baking Stones virtually indestructible and impervious to thermal shock. 100% Guarantee against cracking and thermal shock. If for any reason one of our pizza or baking stones cracks while using it we will replace it!!! These pizza stones are very porous allowing pizza moisture to be absorbed making for a very crispy crust.

I did some research and found California pizza stones their 18"x18"x1" was reasonably priced compared to other stones all smaller by the way.I liked the fact that the stone is made in the USA and guaranteed food safe (no lead).I have been using the stone daily since receiving it to make the most incredible pizza and breads I heat it to 500 f on my grill a small fire bucket of hard wood adds a real wood fired taste to your pizza.I had a customer service issue that was promptly handled by the company and very much to my satisfaction so based on my experience and delicious results I would definitely recommend California pizza stones products and their company.

Ooni standard stones are 1/2 to 5/8 thick this one inch thick stone with be around 10 pounds heavier.

This item was shipped in a great box and packing material. The stone it self is very heavy and works well in the oven. Be sure to read up on the best way to put a pizza in and tack one out before your first attempt. I had some trouble, but not with the stone; it is fabulous. You do need to let it preheat for a good hour to get the crispy crust you want so plan accordingly. I would say to only use this stone with homemade pizza dough, not frozen or pre cooked stuff.
