Even though it claims to be free of silicone if you look at the ingredients Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol is listed. This is a silicone blend and will rob your hair of its natural moisture , just like all the other conditioners on the market **Q: Can I use this longer than the 3 minutes it suggests ?..Perhaps overnight?** A: My dermatologist told me it's best to leave conditioners on for 6 minutes to properly soak into the hair. She said 3 minutes is too short of a time. I'm guessing overnight would be fine as long as it works for you! :) **Q: I already have pretty thick hair thats wavy, i want a good 'slip', would this be a good conditioner?** A: My hair is fine, thin, and very fragile, so I'm always on the look out for the best slip possible. This has been an excellent choice for me. However, I use a lot (and let it soak in for a few minutes while I'm showering) before I try to finger detangle. This is fine with fine/thin hair. I worry that with thick hair, you'd have to use a LOT. (I use about 10 pumps on my hair, and then use 1 final pump as a leave in.) I'd suggest trying one bottle. If you end up having to use half the bottle for your hair you'll know this won't work for you. Slip wise, I think it will be good, but quantity may be an issue. **Q: Good for kids?** A: They have the ones for children different from the ones for adults and yea they are good products for both adults and children. I don't even use this as a conditioner - i think that is a waste of what this product is capable of. Using it as a conditioner just rinses it out of your hair before you receive any of the benefits of what is in this product that needs to be left on your hair and scalp. I have thick long hair so I use two pumps after the shower just on my scalp - I work it in against my scalp and 2 pumps is sometimes too much - a little goes a long way. And then I put in 2-4 more pumps for the rest of my hair and I comb my hair and I often times will braid my wet hair and allow it to stay like that for a day (or two) and this works great with just 1 pump in your hair the next day and the day after until you wash again. Watch some curl girl videos on yt or read up on this for curly girls if you have girls. I have a wave to my hair and when I use this on my hair regularly i have spiral curls that I have never had before. Black castor oil is great for a dry itchy scalp, great for any real hair loss/damage. Shea butter is deeply conditioning and hydrating. Apple cider vinegar is also great for the scalp, great as a conditioner and shine boosting agent for your hair. The three work together best when you leave on your hair and scalp (not goops of it - use sparingly) for a few days or at least over night. I don't wash my hair every day - I have very long hair and wash it about every 3-4 days. I cut my hair three years ago after a lot of heat damage and I have since stopped using a flat iron and I do not blow out my hair - it is very healthy and I think this product makes my hair shine way more than going without it. And it's nice because everything in this product is natural - using the hair serums that make your hair shiny are great - and usually full of silicones. If you don't wash your hair every day and you use silicones for shine you will have build up that you can only get off by using sulfate shampoo - that I am allergic to... so I can't use certain products - and this is the best thing I have found to help my scalp, restore the over all health of my hair from the root, all the way down the shaft to the tip and it helps with frizz control, shine, and hydration. For the price of what you are getting I think this is an amazing deal. Also - if you don't already put some apple cider vinegar in your water as you drink it - you should.
