Must read. *by B***A on July 21, 2019* I've been working in bathroom installations for 20+ years. Using a tape measure likely near 500 times a day means a lot of worn out pants as well as time and hassle getting a tape on a belt. (I don't use pouches except for impact and screws when needed)I have now been using this product for over over a decade and I strongly believe it's the best on the market. I am selfishly writing this review because I want as many people to buy this so the people who make it stay in business so I never have to work without one of these again. It's the best thing since sliced bread.In response to other reviewers....1. Metal plate not fully "clicked" into magnet... I agree that if they beveled both the metal plate and plastic surrounding the magnet would solve this problem. Here's the thing, the problem is actually only temporary, the more you use it the better it gets. Every time you use it, it gets a little better until it gets fully "broken in". It just goes away on it's own. Just listen for the loud little "click" when putting the tape on every time...no problem2. Belt clip coming off your belt?... when removing your tape, use a downward twist motion, problem solved. I can honestly say I've never had this happen to me. I am estimating I have in total removed a tape from this thing 1.2 million times in my lifetime.3. Securing metal plate to the tape. Each tape is different the plate will loosen and maybe even pull the little screw out with use. To solve this, mix a small amount of j b weld or any 2 part epoxy and place a dab under plate before fastening. If you do this the plate will never loosen, it works beautifully! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It’s totally worth the money! Well made strong magnet. *by D***Y on November 8, 2020* This product works great. I had to dremel the back of my Fat Max tape so it was nice and flat. Also you HAVE TO remove the tape in a downward motion or you wind up pulling the magnetic base loose. My muscle memory keeps me doing this. To fix it until my muscle memory changes. I tapped a hole into the clip to line up with a hole on my bags and attached it with a 1/4 inch bolt. Lol I tried pulling it up immediately after adding the bolt and felt foolish, but at least now I get some feedback before detaching it. I really love being able to put my tape back onto my belt and feel it click into place. It saves wearing things out using the standard clip. If your on the fence I would say buy it. Well made strong magnet strong clip. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Where has this been all my construction life *by M***D on June 23, 2022* I am NOTORIOUS for dropping my measuring tape. Standing on the ground, or 15 feet up in a scissor lift, somehow it's going to get knocked off of my frayed, sad looking pocket and hit the deck. NOT ANYMORE! This little gem has kept my tape locked and loaded, ready for the next measurement of inches plus little lines and hairs. You do have to pay attention at first to get it locked in, but after a day or so you'll recognize the click that tells you it's seated correctly. And also, remember to give it a side twist to disengage. Otherwise you'll do as I did for a day, pulling up like normal and pulling the whole thing off of your belt. The clip is a little tight, so it's a bit of a pain to put back on 14 times a day, but you'll dang sure learn after that!
