It would make any dress puff out with the necessary UMFPH you're bound to be looking for. I would say though, think about whether or not you will be wanting your train tied up by the end of the day or whether you'll be having it down all day. I will be securing mine up in the evening time (dance time) so this wasn't really right for the job in the end. Unfortunately the velcro waist band barely done up around me, when it was done up it made it quite uncomfortable. When it wasn't done up I had little flappy bits of material as a result. Honestly though, even at my size, it was easy to get on over my hips and, if I fully fell in love with this item, this problem is an easy fix (cut off the flappy bits) and I would've still be comfortable in it. I'm generally a size 18 so I wouldn't recommend anyone over size 16 ordering this unless you're willing to do the quick fix as I mentioned.
