Figuring it might just be a bad cable, I hooked the console up using my own personal, HDMI cord. The console finally displayed a picture, but the entire screen had a persistent green tint that was impossible to get rid of through any display or TV settings. Thinking it might be an issue with the HDMI port on the console, I tried using an AV multi-out to HDMI converter that I use for my PS2. Not only did the green tint remain, but now the display was completely ruined by green lines in columns all over the screen. To top it all off, the console itself has a serious power defect. When trying to shut it down normally, it freezes up and refuses to power off—the only way to turn the system off is to physically yank the power cord out of the wall. Refurbished should mean tested and working. This unit clearly missed any kind of quality control check. Returning this immediately.
