**Q: What is the best by or expiration date of this product?**
A: I purchased the product on 5/24/2019 and the date on the bottom appears to be 12/2/20.  I keep it tightly covered in the refrigerator.

**Q: Is this a powder or is it larger flakes?  am trying to buy red pepper flakes for a ny times recipe and don't want something that is too ground up.**
A: it is a powder not a flake like italian red pepper flakes (the stuff at pizza parlors)
