Not only are the themes from A Clockwork Orange, Halloween, and The Omen included, the compilers also added lesser-known but awesome works like "Suspiria" and "Dark City" and music from the television anthology Tales from the Darkside. TV shows such as Friday the 13th: The Series and Forever Knight are also represented. This 36-track collection features a couple of oddball inclusions (Mystery Science Theater 3000?) that could have been abandoned in favor of superior TV series themes like Psi-Factor and Ghost Stories. But fortunately for you, you will know not to hesitate to purchase this and you will have the coolest, most unique, high-quality selections for any Halloween comp. I do not suggest playing this disc straight through, but rather to divide it up into purpose: listening/party music or scary sounds/haunted house music. There are plenty of tracks that will fulfill each need. This contains many moods: dark, ethereal, creepy, suspenseful, sweeping, and all of them beautiful!!I purchased this based on my desire for the high quality recordings of movie soundtrack music from HALLOWEEN, THE OMEN, SUSPERIA, haha THE LABYRINTH, and A CLOCKWORK ORANGE. No doubt, they were the perfect versions of those themes. And then there are other less obvious but perfectly fitting movie themes. So stop searching for various cds that may or may not have original versions of a few good soundtracks, just buy this cd that has many perfect movie tracks.But what really made me giddy was all the surprise TV gems on this comp. Now, I am not a theme music junkie, I am a Halloween junkie. I admittedly don't watch TV really and never heard most of the TV theme music on this disc. BUT the TV themes are exactly what you need to create a signature sound to your Halloween comp. If you don't know these TV themes, you will come to love them and wonder how you ever lived without them.Now considering that certain key movies, such as PSYCHO, are not represented on this comp, you will still need other sources for Halloween mixes. And there are not any chainsaws or screaming women for your haunted house. But overall, this entire disc is indispensable for Halloween and makes most of your other scary cds wayside midi trash.
