I was turned off by other cases on the market, however, that had separate covers for the joycons—something you'd have to remove every time you wanted to slip the joycons into the controller grip. (I also didn't like the idea of having to press deeper for buttons with joycon cases that wrapped all around.) When I saw this design, I was really intrigued and decided to give it a go. After using it for a couple weeks, I can say I am thoroughly satisfied! It's really easy to pop on and off (I kept putting it on and then taking it off until I got all the dust out from between the Switch and the shell haha). At first it's a little tight to slide the joycons into their positions, but then it becomes easier and smoother, while still fitting perfectly snugly. Plus, if you hate how the joycons wiggle against the Switch sometimes, then this case will really help with that! The thing I was most worried about was the Switch fitting into its dock with the case on. I also already had a tempered glass screen protector on, adding to the thickness of the switch. Once I got the hardshell on, I did the true test of sitting it in the dock. And it fit! Albeit, it is a very snug fit, but as long as you place it in (and take it out) slowly and steadily, there should be no problems. I didn't feel like I needed to force it or anything, I just had to guide it down attentively to make sure it sat right. For the simple but effective protection the case affords and the ease of getting the joycons in and out though, I don't think that is any major detractor to the overall product. Rather, I am glad it fits at all! Additionally, the simpleness of the case gives a very sleek look to the Switch, and the two little thumb stick pads included are cute. Wanted something that minimalistic that would make my switch feel like one cohesive console. I was worried if bending the joy on rails when I played handheld and this added the sturdiness it needed. It feels great and safe to play in handheld mode now. It adds minor bulk. I like that it's transparent. The joy con's slide in and out easily, and it docks as well! IT DOCKS! ☺️ The screen protector was great! And the thumb grips are solid, loved them. I would add the screen protector if you're planning on docking because if you're not careful it may scratch your screen. Even though I find that my switch docks fine. It's a decent, snug, fit. This thing fit the bill. I love how its easy to snap on and off. The controllers slide in and out easily. I read some reviews of folks stating it was too tight but mine was snug but it was still easy for my 6yr old to remove the joy-cons. Also I love the fact it came with the screen protector. It easy to apply. Finally I love how I can leave everything attached and still dock it.
