I wasn't sure they would be strong enough being a magnet, but he hasn't pulled it off the end at all. I like how he just goes nuts on it and I barely even have to move it around, just dangle it off the end of the couch. Our ceiling fan moves the feathers too without even having to move the rod at all, and that gets him to jump at it too. This is Milton and he'd already been doing this for over 5 minutes. When you play fishing rods with cats, you think you have succeeded in hunting your feathers and you are really lovely to run with your mouth, and then you go to your favorite place and you roll around there, hit it with your hand, and play.The rods are very strong. I've played with a lot of toys. Most of them were broken.
