I knew the price was too good to be true.The cage is TINY and the bulb is BIG, the bulb is always touching the cage and making it extremely hot. I didn't have it on for long as the burning smell was too much to handle and the cage burnt me. The cage is supposed to be there to protect the reptile from burning themselves on the bulb but the cage is so tiny and TOUCHING the bulb that it gets just as hot in all directions. I even put an EXTRA cage over the top because I was scared my snake would burn. I already had a rescued King Snake who was burnt badly by a bad bulb and cage so I know what damage that can do and it's not pretty.Maybe it's good for a reptile that doesn't climb (if u can handle the burning smell) but it's definitely in reach of snakes and can be a big danger.I messaged the seller in hopes this was a defect, maybe I could get a replacement or refund but they just shrugged me off and told me to buy a smaller bulb that doesn't touch the cage. I shouldn't have to buy a smaller bulb, it should have been correct in the product I purchased.The product also came in a small unmarked white box with NO instructions or guidelines.
