             For Laundry:
Count out 4-5 soapnuts into a muslin bag-one should have come with your washing nuts. Tighten the drawstring on the bag. For hot or warm water wash, simply toss the bag into the soap tray or the bottom of your washing machine and fill with dirty laundry as usual. 
For cold water wash, soak in a cup of hot water for about 3 minutes to activate the saponin(sudsing power. in the soap nuts) and continue the cycle with cold water. 
HAIR WASH: Simply soak 4-5 soapnuts in hot water for 15 minutes. Smash gently and use in the place of shampoo, either alone or with shikakai. 
VESSELS: Soak 10-15 soapnuts overnight in water. Next day, smash and remove the seeds. Use the pulp liquid as a dish wash.
