Since I was placing it in an urn that measured 14 1/4" at the top interior and and 18 1/5" to the top outer rim, I was afraid the bottom of the tree would look to skimpy in the urn. I took a chance and it actually looks perfect! The bottom extends over the exterior rim just enough to make it look full and very well balanced. As an aside, I actually sank the 48" tree (4') low into the 22" tall urn in order to fulfill a finished height of approximately 60" and that might make a difference in the fullness. It looks great and I bought two to flank an elegant entry door. The pot that the tree is in is included in the 4' measurement. **Q: Can i keep these outside (porch) during the winter (6-7 zone). i live in nj.** A: I would not keep them outside - they turn color very badly with the sun and look awful. It would be difficult for someone who did not know it was not real to know that it was not. I purchased 2 of the plants and the only problem I had was it's packaging. When both arrived the container it was set in was smashed beyond use (not the pot but the cement and styrofoam holding the plant in the pot. Rather than to go to the trouble to send them back and get a replacement I went to the hardware store and got some quick set concrete and replanted them, problem solved. My daughter thinks they look like Christmas trees lol. I put these in front of my house so was a little worried they may not do well in the sun and because I hadn’t seen any other reviews of them being put in the actual yard 😬😬 but we went for it anyway and they are still going strong. They have filled out more and have a more natural look because they do arrive in a box you have to “fluff” them but again as they sit out they will “relax” over time. Everyone believes they are real and are completely shocked when I tell them they aren’t. even insects land on them and “hang out”.
