Trail bikes have come a long way. At the same time, trail riding has also progressed to amazing levels. The instant center is where the linkage vectors intersect. It's an influencing factor in pedal bob and braking characteristics. The optimized instant center system is designed to provide an optimal migration of the instant center through the range of travel. The instant center is designed to move from a point near the height of the middle chain ring, to a point near the bottom bracket - this produces good pedaling performance close to the sag point, while eliminating the influence of braking on the suspension performance. The shock rate of this system is tuned to be slightly progressive (rising rate). this allows shocks to be easily tuned and used in a variety of riding situations. The linkage system is designed to produce a travel path that gives the bike a neutral ride quality - the suspension will not compress or extend under pedaling loads. Pedal feedback is also kept to a minimum. ## Features - Wheel travel - 140mm/5.5'' patented 4-bar linkage suspension - Fits 26 inch wheels, BB type: BSA, rear shock sag recommendation: 20-25% - 6061 aluminum frameset weight: 2.8kg/6lb - Fox rear shock, headset, seat post & clamp, replaceable derailleur hanger, cartridge bearings, 6pcs cable housing clips, 1+1/8Inch headset spacers - Colors: Black or Brown ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00WWPKTOI | | Additional Features | Aluminum Frame, Dual Suspension | | Bike Type | Mountain Bike | | Brake Style | Linear Pull | | Brand | SOLIS | | Brand Name | SOLIS | | Color | Brown | | Frame Material | Aluminum | | Frame Material Type | Aluminum | | Global Trade Identification Number | 06009702406138 | | Included Components | frame^rear shock^headset | | Is Assembly Required | Yes | | Item Type Name | Dual Suspension MTB frameset & shock | | Item Weight | 7 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Solis | | Model Name | Tephra 5.5 Dual Suspension MTB frameset & shock Black | | Model Number | Z12M29Frame | | Number Of Speeds | 30 | | Number of Speeds | 30 | | Size | Black | | Specific Uses For Product | Mountain, Recreational Mountain, Trail / Enduro Mountain | | Suspension Type | Dual, Rear | | Wheel Size | 26 Inches | ## Product Details - **Bike Type:** Mountain Bike - **Brand:** SOLIS - **Color:** Brown - **Frame Material:** Aluminum - **Included Components:** frame^rear shock^headset - **Number of Speeds:** 30 - **Size:** Black - **Special Feature:** Aluminum Frame, Dual Suspension - **Suspension Type:** Dual, Rear - **Wheel Size:** 26 Inches ## Images ![SOLIS Tephra 5.5 Dual Suspension MTB frameset & Shock Brown 16" / Small - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51wT8eKJ8oL.jpg) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/144819741-solis-tephra-5-5-dual-suspension-mtb-frameset-and-shock](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/144819741-solis-tephra-5-5-dual-suspension-mtb-frameset-and-shock) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
