What I did was make big batches out food place it in ice trays covered with plastic wrap and freeze then store in a freezer bag . unthaw the amount you want in fridge and warm in microwave **Q: Does it actually puree the food or is it just a high power blender?** A: It does puree the food mostly. I also loved that this came with quite a few storage containers as well as the smoothie cup as I also have a toddler who LOVES smoothies. I used this blender religiously through my whole homemade baby food making journey and loved it!. My husband would even use it to make his smoothies. It blends up foods so well and the storage containers seal very well, never leaked. We loved this blender and have packed it away for smoothies and when we have our next little one. Super easy to clean by hand or dishwasher. No settings, so you just push down and turn to blend. Comes with extra storage cups (although pretty small) and lids, as well as a spill proof (with thicker substances) water bottle that can be attached to the blender as well.Beyond those things, the money saved on store bought baby food is definitely noticable. Where I live (PNW) they're often $1.50+ per 4oz packet and even more (sometimes $3+)if you're opting for 'higher end' or better quality brands. It's super easy to blend up and save in the freezer if you make too much.***I would definitely suggest also buying the Baby Brezza reusable baby food pouches*** or whatever brand you prefer but those were around $10 when I got them, so in total it was about $50 for the entire blender set up and the reusable bags.
