It does a better job of blocking sunlight from the entire windshield than any interior sun screen that I have used, and while I've only used it this summer I think it will be great for preventing frost and ice in the winter. It stays put well as long as you are careful to pull it very taut when closing the 2nd door and to use the wiper blades to hold down the bottom. In addition, it folds more compactly and easily than most interior sun shades. Overall, I like the concept very much, but I can only give it 3 stars because of problems with installing it. First, installing it generally takes a bit more time than installing an interior sun shade, which can be annoying, especially when that is time spent outside the car on very hot days. That's generally a minor concern for me. A much greater problem is that installing it can range from annoying to nearly impossible on a windy day, which is a frequent occurrence at my current location in the Midwest. The problem on windy days is that after closing the door on the first end, you generally have to hold the other end while walking around the front of the car in order to complete the installation, and depending on the shape of the vehicle (e.g., the distance from the attachment at the passenger side door to the front /driver's side of the bumper) and the length of one's reach, this can be challenging to impossible -- at the very least you risk getting your clothes dirty by inadvertently touching the front of the vehicle (which will invariably be salt-covered during Midwest winters.) I'm thinking about attaching a small length of twine to one end of the shade to eliminate that problem. Perhaps the Tsumbay folks want to give that concept a try (and include me on the new patent, of course). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Went nicely in my new driver package for my daughter *by K***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2019* My daughter just got her license thus just got her first car. I wanted to surprise her with a goodie basket of car stuff. So, I put in all kinds of fun items from cleaning supplies to car coasters. This was one of the more useful items in the basket. We do not have a garage, so she will be parking outside when it snows. So often in the winter our schools seem to stay open even with snow and ice. I figured getting the ice and snow off her windshield would be one less thing for her to have to worry about. It was super adorable! She was so excited that she went out and tried it on her car! Pretty funny on a 90 degree day! I tried taking a picture but she said it was embarrassing. Teens! Anyway, it fit great on her older four door Ford car and this protective mom will feel much better knowing that she won't have ice and snow on her windshield in the morning driving to school in the winter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect cover for protecting phone holder and dash-cam from California heat *by O***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2020* Having my dash-cam and phone holder both stuck to my windshield inside the car, I wasn't able to use those classic sun shade that you deploy and install from the inside of the car, and being under the constant California's heat isn't ideal for on board electronics.This kind of cover is the perfect alternate solution, since it's meant to be installed on the outside of the car. So far, it works as expected and keep the heat away. And, even with the strong wind we recently had over here, it stayed in place and didn't bulge. So far so good.
