I do not know if the cable has any specific configuration that a normal CAT 5 cable would not have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Watch out if you are transferring to Windows 10 - works on file but not on USER transfer *by W***Y on January 11, 2017* Product is great - except that transferring a USER from XP to Windows 10 failed on the USER aspect. Files went, but user could not be created. I contacted Laplink support, after working with me determined that it was a Win10 issue. They would work with me for $99 to resolve this issue or (I think it was) $129 for a year for any issues. Funny, when I called Microsoft and went through the problem (yes, it is a Win10 problem, not fixed by Microsoft) they told me the same thing, and offered the same prices for the same resolution.
