It is a replacement following my loss of my Nook while traveling. I chose a lighter colored case instead of the black so that I wouldn't, again, leave it on a taxi seat at night while rushing to the airport. Sigh.It performs well, giving protection and a stand to your Nook. The swivel mount is strong, and makes changing from Portrait to Landscape a snap. The groove could be a little deeper to be more steady, but it's not a problem. Unlike other cases, this case allows you to access the microSD slot without taking it out of the case. In fact, the case blocks no functionality at all.My only complaint is that the magnetic strip to automatically put the Nook to sleep when it closes and awakens it when it opens is only on the outer edge of the flap. This means that if your Nook is pivoted around so that the bottom (with the button and recharging port outboard), closing or opening the flap has no effect. Unfortunately, I find that the most convenient orientation, to allow recharging. Very pleased. My tablet fit perfectly into the corners and I love using this cover. Rotates to vertical or horizontal easily and has notches on the inside cover to prop it up. However, in the vertical position it sometimes just collapses flat from the weight distribution or the notch just isn't strong enough to hold it upright. This comes with a stylus as well, but there's nowhere to attach it to travel with it. The cleaning cloth was a tiny little square and essentially useless. And the screen protector refused to go on smoothly.
