The MugGuard is our super sleek front mud guard for Mountain Bikes. Compatible with 26”, 27.5’’ & 29” mountain bike wheels, the MugGuard will fit most standard Mountain Bike suspension forks (including boost forks) and tyres up to 3” wide. It can also be used as a rear shock guard on some full suspension bikes, where there is enough room. The MugGuard weighs just 75 grams and fastens to the front suspension fork, using the supplied Velcro straps, or regular zip-ties. Review: Easy instal and great item - Bought this item twice. One for my bike on my 29” tyre and then for my son’s bike on a smaller 27” 2.5 tyre. It works well on both chubby and skinnier tyres. I used zip-ties on these and not the Velcro strips that are provided. Really easy to install takes minutes.

**Q: Will this fit front and rear on a Giant Trance X 2 29er?**
A: Not exactly sure about the Giant, but I bought 2 of the long version for my 2021 Norco Optic. (Horst Link 29er)  The front fit perfect with no mods and the rear worked well after a little trimming and adding a couple extra holes for the straps.  They worked very well for me during our wet and muddy spring in NE OH.

**Q: How wide is the gully? i have 2.4 michelin wild enduro wheels. will it fit around it? i’m thinking this will rob my tire.**
A: I have 2.2 tires there’s a little room More than .1 on each side. Should fit

Bought this item twice. One for my bike on my 29” tyre and then for my son’s bike on a smaller 27” 2.5 tyre. It works well on both chubby and skinnier tyres. I used zip-ties on these and not the Velcro strips that are provided. Really easy to install takes minutes.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and Stable Guard

The Mucky Nutz MugGuard is light in weight and solid in made. The design looks good and really makes a difference in keeping a mountain bike cleaner during rides. However, mine arrived missing its ties, so I had to buy replacements when I purchased in June 2025. I ended up using cable ties instead, which actually worked out better as they kept the guard sturdy and stable, even when the bike bounced over rough terrain. The only downside is its short coverage. If the length were extended a bit more, it would offer much better protection. I initially rated it 2 stars, but after using it properly, I think it's worth buying (so I rated 4 stars) and investing in—as long as you use reliable cable ties for a secure fit 😉 I would recommend it for cyclists
