But I would say the cushion is not that great. As I said in my review, this is not very good for the cost. **Q: How can I lock the stool into position?** A: It’s adjustable it doesn’t “lock permanently”. Mine stays in the same position. Just slide it from the bottom if you need to move it. **Q: Can this be adjusted with your feet, or do you have to move it by hand?** A: I just received my unit this week and it is (almost) as expected. I wish it were 6 inches wider, my feet are size 7 and they are at risk of falling off the sides. Coming to this question, I have been able to open and adjust it with just my two feet without problem.
