The back is made of a hard plastic, with a faint lattice pattern on, while the sides and ends are made of fairly hard rubber. It's just flexible enough around the edges to get the phone in without feeling like you'll break something, without being too flexible for the phone to feel loose. The plastic back, especially, gives the impression that it could absorb some hard knocks without blushing.Protection is, therefore, good, although the case 'lips' that extend slightly over the top and bottom of the screen don't extend over the sides - this couldn't be helped given the Note10's side-swiping functionality, but it does make the screen slightly more vulnerable. Keeping the factory-fitted screen protector on helps, or getting one of your own, but that air of vulnerability still remains.The case adds only marginally to the Note10’s bulk, and mush less so that the folio case I had been using.
