You will be amazed when you read this book!Although this book was written in 1933, the author spent years working on both wooden sailing ships and on wooden freighters (Yup, he worked on building the emergency wooden freighters in WWII.) A LOT of the information he obtained from old sailors, and drew on his own experiences as a wooden ship builder to describe how things are done, why they are done that way, and what things are important.Although this book takes you through the construction of just one built-up model, the author addresses thousands of questions regarding wooden shipbuilding, and the methods and techniques to construct them.The information in it is absolutely INVALUABLE in model ship construction.
