I'm using these to add more usable space under thick wooden shelves that are too widely spaced. As a result we now have a great space in which to store things like band-aids, small bottles of antihistimines, qtips and other items that get lost on a shelf. At the same time we maintain enough room below to store taller items. I'm going to get another set in white to go in the closet where we keep bedding and towels. On the bookshelf they add extra storage space that was otherwise wasted when I put short books on the shelf. They're very sturdy and haven't sagged at all from the weight.
