If you change direction, they may keep going straight so give them an extra push and they will change direction. **Q: Can these be put on a dining room chair to convert it to like an office chair?** A: You would need to buy hardware for the wheels to be attached, so the hardware that attaches to the chair. Office chairs already have it and you just pull out wheels and then insert new wheels but if you wanted to convert the chair it would need something that isn't included with just these wheels. **Q: How to clean hair out of these wheels ? It looks like the wheels are put together with rivets.** A: Interesting question. I never thought about this before, but I can see why it could be a problem. My dog doesn't shed and my chair is on a tile floor. I think you would need to use a small pair of tweezers if it became necessary. As of yet ( several months) I did not see a single hair in the axle area of the 5 wheels I checked, but I could get to them if I had any wrapped around.
