I was nervous about keeping my stitches tidy but it turned out wonderful.If you are a novice like me (this was only my 3rd project ever) there is a confusing point in the directions where it said "the ends of the crosses do not meet." That refers to the little Xs on the plan but on your actual fabric, the corners of the Xs should share the same holes.I did refer to YouTube videos for tutorials on satin/stem stitching and French knots. I almost ran out of dark pink floss because I chose to backstitch around the satin stitched circles but had JUST enough.One tip on the French knots - trying to pull through 6 strands of floss was hard and frustrating. I switched to 3 strands and wrapped the floss around twice (rather than once) to make the knot and got the same effect with less trouble.Amazon uses this listing for multiple designs so I wanted to specify that this particular kit is printed, meaning the design doesn't wash off. The blue shading and words in the middle are all left printed/unstitched. The project went much faster than I expected bc I didn't have to stitch the entire thing.This is an excellent value and made a beautiful, inexpensive gift for my mom coupled with a $10 frame! I'm definitely going to buy more Dimensions kits in the future. ### ⭐⭐ This kit has my nerves in knots. *by C***G on June 17, 2016* Pattern is great and easy to follow. It's really cute, I'm not going to lie. However, everything else is a bigger headache than it's worth. First of all, I couldn't even use the needle that came with the kit. The hole to feed my thread through was completely closed shut. I had to use my needle from a previous project I finished. Secondly, the thread in this kit is the WORST I've ever dealt with. I'm actually surprised I haven't ran out of any colors I've used so far. It is so hard to get knots out if it happens to get tangled and good luck pulling the strands apart to start. If you want to spend the money to buy all of your own supplies anyway, this is the kit for you! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Low quality thread *by P***L on September 4, 2017* I have had good experiences with Dimensions kits in the past, but not so much with this one. The pattern is pretty and the instructions are easy enough to follow. But they have gone to a very low quality thread in this one. It is much stiffer than the normal DMC thread I usually use, and much more prone to tangling while I'm stitching.
