These definitely make my buns, hips, and thighs appear smoother and tighter. However, they tend to create some unnecessary bulges around my midsection, which is relatively flat. The wide waistband creates an indentation. It also rolls if I don't carefully position it exactly on my natural waist. That isn't to say these, or the waistband, are uncomfortable. I prefer Assets because I find them very comfortable - they're light, breathable, and non-constricting.
