The flavor is savory rich and a tad smoky. I've been looking for a lower sodium alternative to soy sauce or even low sodium soy sauce. Looks like it is a bit lower than the low sodium soy. This may be the answer. It also has the aminos and is gluten free if you are looking for that sort of thing. At $10 for a 32 oz. bottle this will last forever. Lol. For even lower sodium try the braggs coconut aminos. The difference with that in addition to half the sodium of this stuff it also is kinda sweet which I also like. It's almost teriyaki like.
