Stinks that this piece of plastic cost twice what the radio did, but I didn't see any other option. I did use my rotary tool to cut out the back of the factory plastic bracket. Very easy to do. All the clips fit tight and radio slid in perfectly. I will say the first time I installed the brackets on the radio all the way to front (or so I thought). However the radio was still sticking out too much. Then I realized I could take the front trim plate off my Boss radio (it unsnaps) and then move the brackets further to the front of the radio and then it fit perfectly and looks great.
