## Description

Introducing the Table Saw Precision Miter Gauge System by POWERTEC. This 3-piece set was designed to provide you with everything you need to produce consistently accurate cross-cutting and miter cuts, with featured stops that do not require calibration. Set Contains the Following: (1) High Precision Miter Gauge, (1) Multi Track Fence with Laser Engraved Scale (24 inch long by x 3 inch tall), (1) 3” T-Track Flip Stop (multi position). Miter Gauge Features 27 angle indexing stops, Laser-cut aluminum construction, A multi-functional 45 Degree setting, 4 expansion discs that adjust to remove all side play. A removable T-slot plate that can be used with T-slotted miter slots. Works in standard 3/4” x 3/8” miter slot, with or without t-slots. The gauge can be used as is, with a sacrificial fence, or with the included 24” x 3” multi –track fence Fence. Features Laser engraved 24” scale, right to left 24” x 3” tall multi-track T-slots (fence section). Made out of anodized extruded aluminum for strength and durability Universal t-track slots that accept 1/4"-20 hex bots, 1/4” t-bolts and 5/16” t- bolts, and T-track accessories. Review: Assemble, adjust channel disks, align fence and it's perfect. - Took 5 minutes to assemble and 20 minutes to square up. It was a degree + out of square. Simple matter of loosening the four 3mm screws holding the fence backing to the gauge itself. Set the gauge at 0* and use a good square to line up the edge of the blade and the fence. Once satisfied, hold the fence down tight and carefully tighten the screws back down. Check again and repeat if needed. Once the 90* was set, the 45, 22,5 were dead on. Of course get your three slot disks adjusted for your slot so it slides freely with no side play first, then square the fence last. The allen wrenches they send are soft and the screws for the fence were tight. I could feel the first head starting to deform so I threw those out and used a metric set of Bondhus 2mm and 3mm wrenches. Much better fit. After far too many test cuts I am impressed with the accuracy and repeatability of this miter gauge. The included flip stop is solid with no deflection also. Good bang for the buck here. Using machinists squares and I can't see a $400 gauge getting any tighter joints than this gives you once it's set up. It's a keeper.

Very sturdy, easy assembly and setup, did not have to look at the directions. Love the fence and the graduations. The stop is stiff enough for real use. the adjustment for the slide works very well. I would buy it again if I needed one. The small parts sled is also better than expected. It is 90 degrees as best I could measure with a good framing square. No adjustments needed. Nice fit and finish. The only thing that could be better is the adjustments on the slide bar are nylon set screws from the side that are tedious to adjust and move with use. Need to add some Loctite or something I suppose. Great value and saved a lot of time instead of designing and building one from scratch. Feels very safe now to make small wood pieces.

**Q: How long is the mitre slide?**
A: If by miter slide, you mean the part that slides in the groove of whatever table you intend to use this with, the length is 17-3/4".

**Q: I need to cut 22” boards. Can you use the flip stop to cut boards of this length?**
A: Yes, you can.  The fence is 24” long and the flip stop needs just under 2” to work in.  The question is whether you should.  If the pieces being cut are only a few inches longer than 22” then this approach works well.  However, if you are cutting several 22” pieces from a much longer board then you may find it awkward.  Consider using the miter gauge to keep it square but use a block fastened at 22” from the blade to set the length.  Even better, if you have it, use a chop saw to cut the 22” pieces.

**Q: What are the dimensions?  could it be adapted (flipped) to work on a 14" bandsaw (move the runner - slot is on right side of blade)?**
A: The gage will work on either side of a blade.  There is no "handedness" (left or right) to it.  The gage sticks out 3-1/8" from the edge of the bar on both sides.  The blue extension bar with the T-slots is 24" long.

**Q: Will this fit the 14” porter cable band saw?**
A: Probably. If the 14 PC band saw gas a standard 0.75" wide slot, then this will fit.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hugely disappointed in the tolerances.

Hugely disappointed in the tolerances. While there is a useful adjustment for lateral slop in the miter track, there is no such adjustment in the slop in the depth of the track. Consequently, the front face of the gauge and then the acrylic base catch on the front edge of the table saw. As others have noted, that problem does not present for small pieces of wood. But for larger pieces the gauge catches mightily on the table edge and abruptly stops all movement of the workpiece toward the blade. That catch is potentially dangerous since, without modification, the gauge must be lifted slightly to push beyond the table edge. That slight movement can have all manner of ramifications in the cut and movement of the piece on the saw surface – while the distracting of the operator from focusing on the spinning blade. That one gotcha in the design very nearly invalidates all the other nice features of the miter gauge. The bumps can be alleviated with a roughly .508mm washer – for those without a washer that thin, seven folds of a Post-it note might suffice – provided the note is only the width of the slide. And of course, care must be taken when the gauge is reset to a different angle. YMMV, so a handy set of shim washers is essential. I did not have a handy set of shims so I picked thru my 50-year-collection of flat washers and found one that is 1.1 mm with a diameter less than the .75” width of the slide and with an inside diameter greater that the bolt attaching the gauge to the slide. Not what I wanted in the way of a solution, but I imagine it will suffice. The good news in this matter is that the wife has less reason to scoff at my vast and growing collection of “useless” hardware in numerous jars.
