These are an excellent lace up version. They tend to last about a year-- think chucks. I wear them about two, with some seam maintenance.I tried out five fingers for a couple years. These are way better, in that they don't absorb water in between the toe split-- They have an inner side wall.They come with black laces in the shoes, and the flashy laces in a baggy. Pretty cool to have a back up set.Honestly, tabi are the best minimalist shoe i have found on the market. I have yet to spend a full day in them. But you might need to relace the shoes the shoe strings is very uneven. I'm very excited in my purchase. 05/01/2017: I advice those who buy these if you wear size 10-10 1/2 size shoes size 29 their standard fits best. I would also replace the insoles with sports insoles and use original insoles as the pattern to cut. They are so comfortable! My second pair of tabi shoes. These are easily the most comfortable of the two. These things are really comfortable. They held up great, and my feet didn't hurt after I took them off.I had several comments about how cool they looked, and my friend might be getting a pair after I raved about them.They fit better than expected. The other pair of tabi shoes I got were SLGIHTLY big on me,and sometimes I feel like I have to adjust juat a little so that my toes don't slip back.
