I've switched back to VivierSkin 10 Serum for the last few years as it is more cost-effective than Kine-C, and to be honest, I do not see a big difference between the 2 products on my skin.I am now in my mid-40s! This little bottle of goodness works. Even my husband has started using it! I apply it all over my face and neck.I'm the eldest of 6 girls in my family. Whilst genetics play a very important role, so do environmental factors. I've recommended this product multiple times to my sisters, but they prefer to use other products instead.Unfortunately, they all have forehead lines and marionette lines, some have permanently visible lines, whilst others have clearly visible dynamic lines when raising eyebrows. Thankfully, I have no permanent lines yet! (forehead, crows feet or marionette), and only very (hardly visible) fine dynamic forehead lines and dynamic crows feet at this stage. I do not use botox or fillers on my forehead or marionette lines. I sincerely believe that this Vit C product has helped maintain and slow down my skin's ageing process, in combination with the rest of my skincare routine.Although this product is expensive, you only need a few drops for your face and neck. After applying toner, I then apply 3 drops of Vit C for my face and a further 2 for my neck - and this is plenty.This product will not reverse the signs of ageing, but I have found that it has slowed down the rate of ageing, at least for my skin. The Vit C will make your skin a little more sensitive to the sun, therefore it is important to apply sunscreen every day, whether you are indoors or outdoors, come rain or shine.The most essential skincare products in my toolkit are the Vivier Skin 10 Serum and SPF50 sunscreen.Update - September 2012This product states it is for oily/combination skin. I have dry/combination skin. Although it worked amazingly initially, I eventually found that my skin became drier (but the skin condition is still much better than without using this product). As people's skin condition changes due to lifestyle, stress, or even effects from the weather, I have had to review my skincare and adjust it to suit my changing skin condition.Being a loyal Vivierskin customer, I am now using Vivierskin Kine-C serum (contains 10% vitamin C and Kinetin), which is more suitable for dry/combination skin types. I absolutely love this product. I will forever be a Vivierskin vitamin C customer, but will switch between their different vitamin C serums when my skin condition changes.And now for my original review:I completed one bottle of the Serum 10, which I finished using it in 2.5 months. I am now on Serum 20 and have been using Serum 20 for almost 2 months so far. This product has a nice smooth silky feel to it and a very slight nice smell. It very quickily absorbs into my skin with no oily residue.I am in my early 30s and I generally have dull, combination skin that tends to be on the dry side. I started noticing fine lines and wrinkles developing as well as small sun spots appearing on my skin. I have used other brands of Vit C products before, and many other expensive brands of skincare that promise the world. However, I generally find that most of them do not work for me. In addition, I tend to break out with acne spots a few days before the start of my menstruation.After one month of using Serum 10 every night and day (followed by moisturizer, then SPF50 during the day), I noticed that my skin significantly improved. It was smoother, more even toned, and I have fewer acne spots, and my sun spots appear less obvious. After about 2 months of usage, friends and strangers have commented that I have great looking glowing skin! I have never ever received such compliments before! The rest of my skincare regime have not change, only the addition of this Vitamin C serum.After completing Serum 10, I moved onto Serum 20. I found that the quality of my skin is still good, but not as good as before. I think that Serum 20 is too strong for me. I also found that my sun spots seems to be getting darker, even though I always use SPF50. I will complete this bottle and then move back to Serum 10.It is important to apply Vit C serum to clean dry skin, and allow this product time to absorb into you skin before you apply anything else on top. I always cleanse my skin and then use a water based toner. When my skin is completely dried, I apply 4 drops of Vit C serum on my face and eyes excluding eyelids (the instructions states 2-3 drops, but I find that this is never enough to cover my entire face) and 2 more drops for my neck. Then I allow a few minutes for my skin to absorb the Vit C serum.
